Trucking leads: a daily list of carriers that just got authority
Reviewed · Numbers are Rookiefeed analysis as of , updated daily
Rookiefeed's trucking leads are the for-hire carriers FMCSA granted operating authority the day before, about 237 per business day, sent by 7am Central with the owner's name, phone, email, fleet size, equipment and insurer. Below: what kinds of trucking lead lists exist, real volumes by state, and what each lead costs.
Four kinds of trucking lead lists
They track different moments in a carrier's start and suit different sellers. Pick the one that matches the moment your customer buys.
| List | What it is | Monthly volume | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| New USDOT registrations | Every new DOT number, for-hire and private, interstate and intrastate | About 15,000 (TruckerDB's figure) | DOT compliance, ELD and services every new fleet needs |
| New MC authorities (this list) | For-hire carriers whose operating authority was just granted | 5,591 in the 30 days to October 19, 2026 | Factoring, dispatch, truck insurance, fuel cards |
| New applications | Carriers that applied for authority but aren't active yet | 8,044 | Getting in before the authority is granted |
| Established carrier databases | Every active carrier, with safety and inspection history | The full FMCSA register | Renewals, vetting, selling to fleets with a track record |
What's on each lead, as of October 19, 2026
Last 30 days: 5,591 new for-hire carriers. 99.8% had an email on file, 100% a phone, 98.9% liability insurance filed, and 97.9% were first-time authorities rather than returning carriers.
- Legal and DBA name, MC and USDOT numbers, grant date, days from application to grant, first-time or returning
- Owner and officer names, business phone, cell (flagged for TCPA), email, street address
- Power units, drivers, interstate or intrastate, hazmat, an equipment guess from registered cargo
- Insurer, BIPD coverage and effective date from the FMCSA filing
How many leads a month, by state
New for-hire MC authorities in the 30 days to October 19, 2026. The State plan is $149 a month for one state, so the cost per lead is the plan price over that count.
| State | New carriers, 30 days | Cost per lead on the State plan |
|---|---|---|
| Texas | 642 | 23 cents |
| California | 578 | 26 cents |
| Florida | 435 | 34 cents |
| Illinois | 344 | 43 cents |
| Ohio | 287 | 52 cents |
| Pennsylvania | 282 | 53 cents |
| Georgia | 207 | 72 cents |
| North Carolina | 204 | 73 cents |
Price per lead, compared fairly
Rookiefeed is $59 a month for one state once a week, $149 for one state every day, $299 for up to 8 states and $599 for every state, and you can cancel any time. Nationwide works out to about 11 cents per new carrier.
TruckerDB is cheaper per row: its Starter plan is $49 a month for about 15,000 new DOT registrations, under a cent each by its own math (checked October 8, 2026). Those rows include private and intrastate fleets and carry no fleet size, equipment or insurer. If you sell to every new DOT holder, that's the better buy; if you sell to carriers that can haul for pay this week, a granted authority is the better signal. Full comparison.
Leads by what you sell
- Freight factoring: factoring leads, first-time authorities with 1 to 5 trucks
- Truck insurance: truck insurance leads, with the insurer already on file
- Dispatch: owner-operator leads, one or two trucks and the freight they haul
- Hotshot: hotshot trucking leads, small non-tractor flatbed and car-hauler outfits
Try before you buy
Today's grants are listed on new MC numbers today, without contacts. The free list builder emails 25 carriers for your states with contacts, and the State plan can be tried for 7 days for $19. To check a single carrier, use the MC number lookup.
Questions
- Can I buy a one-time trucking leads list?
- Not as a one-off file. The list is new every morning, so it's sold by month: $59 for one state weekly up to $599 for every state daily, cancel any time. The free list builder gives 25 carriers to judge it first.
- Is it legal to call and email these leads?
- Manual calls and CAN-SPAM compliant cold email to business contacts are fine for most sellers. Autodialed or prerecorded calls and texts to cell numbers need prior express written consent under the TCPA, which is why cells are flagged.
- Who is on the list?
- Every for-hire carrier FMCSA granted operating authority to since the last email, with the owner contact, fleet and insurance details Rookiefeed adds to each one. We aren't affiliated with FMCSA.
