It's a list of trucking companies whose FMCSA operating authority (their MC number) just went active, meaning they can legally haul freight for hire across state lines. Factoring companies, dispatchers, insurance agents and fuel card sales reps use it to reach carriers in their first weeks of business. ### How many new trucking companies get authority each day? FMCSA granted for-hire operating authority to 5,591 trucking companies in the 30 days ending October 19, 2026, about 237 per business day. Another 8,044 carriers filed new applications in the same window, and 375 freight brokers were granted authority. ### How long does it take FMCSA to grant MC authority? Across the 5,409 first-time carriers FMCSA granted authority to between September 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026, the median time from application to active authority was 25 calendar days. Half took between 16 and 41 days, and 90% were active within 70 days. Authority can't go active until the carrier's insurance (BMC-91/91X) and process agent (BOC-3) filings are on record, so a slow filing stretches the wait. ### How is the list put together? Every morning Rookiefeed picks up the carriers FMCSA granted authority to (and the new applications), adds the owner contact, fleet and insurance details for each one, cleans up names and addresses and removes duplicates. Each carrier reaches you once. ### When does the email arrive? Around 7am Central on any day with new filings. FMCSA publishes most grants on business days, so weekend emails are lighter, and a day with nothing new sends nothing. ### Can I call and text these numbers? You are responsible for your outreach. Manual calls and compliant cold email are fine for most businesses. Autodialed or prerecorded calls and marketing texts to cell numbers need prior express written consent under the TCPA, even for business owners, and commercial email must follow CAN-SPAM. Cell numbers are flagged in the CSV for that reason. ### What's the difference between a granted authority and a new application? A new application means the carrier filed with FMCSA and is waiting, usually three to six weeks. A grant means the authority is active and the carrier can take loads. The feed defaults to grants; you can switch on new applications in the dashboard to reach carriers even earlier. ### Is there a free trial? There's a free sample: download ten real rows from the latest day, unmasked, in the same CSV format the paid feed uses. To get the daily email for your own state first, the 7-day trial is $19, then it becomes the State plan at $149 a month unless you cancel before it ends. You can cancel any time from the billing page. ### How much does it cost? Weekly is $59 a month (one state, one email every Monday), State is $149 a month (one state), Regional is $299 a month (up to 8 states), Nationwide is $599 a month (every state). Yearly billing gets two months free. Every plan has the same data and filters; the daily plans differ only in the number of states. One signed carrier usually covers a year of it. ### Can I get only brokers, or only certain states? Yes. The dashboard filters by state, fleet size, first-time authority and whether there's an email, and can add broker authorities and new applications. The daily email follows your saved filters. --- Rookiefeed is a Great Work LLC product. Not affiliated with FMCSA or USDOT. Brokers and freight forwarders are counted separately. - **Window:** The 30 days ending on the newest grant date in the data (inclusive), so a quiet weekend doesn't shrink the totals. - **Per business day:** Total grants on Monday to Friday dates in the window, divided by the number of those dates with grants. - **First-time:** The docket had no earlier active authority. - **Days to grant:** Calendar days from the day the carrier first applied for the docket to the day FMCSA granted it. First-time authorities only, values from 0 to 365 days. - **State:** The physical business address the carrier registered with FMCSA. - **One truck:** One power unit (truck or tractor) on the carrier's FMCSA registration. - **Insurer:** The insurer on the carrier's latest BMC-91 or BMC-91X liability filing. Shares are of all new carriers, including those with no filing yet. - **Equipment:** Inferred from the cargo classes the carrier registered. One carrier can count toward several types. We are not affiliated with FMCSA, USDOT or any factoring company, and we don't sell or share subscriber data. ## Why it exists A new carrier needs a factor, a dispatcher, insurance and a fuel card in its first weeks, and the reps who sell those services race to reach it first. Finding those carriers on your own means checking FMCSA's systems every day and then tracking down who owns each company, how to reach them and who insures them. Rookiefeed does that work every morning so the list is ready before the workday starts. ## How the feed is built Each morning we pick up the carriers FMCSA granted authority to, add owner contact, fleet and insurance details, clean up names and addresses, and flag first-time authorities and cell phones. We recheck the last seven days each run, because FMCSA sometimes records grants late, and each carrier goes to a subscriber once. Right now that's about 237 new carriers per business day. ## How the guides and stats are made Every number on this site is Rookiefeed analysis, recomputed automatically each morning, so the figures change as new carriers are granted authority. The guides are drafted with AI assistance and edited by us; each one cites its sources (FMCSA, the FCC and FTC, and the other pages it relies on) and shows the date it was last reviewed. There are no invented experts or testimonials here. If you spot something wrong, email hello@greatwork.company and we'll fix it. ## Carriers on the list Every record reflects information the carrier filed with FMCSA when it registered. If you're listed and want your record left out of the feed, email hello@greatwork.company with your USDOT number and we'll suppress it within 10 business days. Subscribers agree to follow CAN-SPAM, the TCPA and Do Not Call rules. ## Contact Email hello@greatwork.company. For anything else about a charge, email us from the address you subscribed with. - **Questions about the data:** Tell us the MC or USDOT number and what looks off. Every row traces back to an FMCSA record, so we can usually say exactly where a value came from. - **Remove a carrier from the feed:** Send the USDOT number. We suppress it within 10 business days. Your registration with FMCSA itself isn't affected. - **Bulk, API or custom filters:** If you need more than the daily email and dashboard, describe what you're trying to do and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help. --- # Pricing: Rookiefeed > Rookiefeed is a daily feed of US trucking companies newly granted FMCSA operating authority, for freight factoring reps, truck insurance agents and dispatchers.
