# Freight factoring leads: new carriers every morning

> A new carrier picks its factor in its first weeks of authority, when the first loads pay in 30 to 60 days and fuel is due now. Rookiefeed sends every carrier FMCSA granted authority to the day before, about 237 per business day, with the owner's name, phone and email, flagged first-time or returning, by 7am Central.

## What's on each row for a factoring rep

- First-time or returning authority. 98% of recent grants are first-time; returning carriers are more likely to have a factor already.
- Owner and officer names, business phone, cell (flagged, since autodialed calls and texts to cells need consent), and email.
- Fleet size and equipment. 67% of new carriers start with one truck.
- Days from application to grant, and the insurer and coverage on file.

## Factoring leads by the numbers, as of October 19, 2026

In the 30 days to October 19, 2026, FMCSA granted 5,591 new [for-hire carrier](https://rookiefeed.com/glossary/for-hire-carrier) authorities. 98% were first-time, 67% ran one truck, 96% ran 1 to 5 trucks, and 99.8% had an email on file.

Nearly all of them fit a typical factoring filter. Busiest states, with an estimate of the first-time, 1 to 5 truck carriers that filter keeps (state count times that state's small-fleet and first-time shares):

| State | New carriers, 30 days | First-time, 1 to 5 trucks (est.) | State plan ($149) per filtered lead |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Texas](https://rookiefeed.com/new-trucking-companies/texas) | 642 | 608 | 25 cents |
| [California](https://rookiefeed.com/new-trucking-companies/california) | 578 | 537 | 28 cents |
| [Florida](https://rookiefeed.com/new-trucking-companies/florida) | 435 | 415 | 36 cents |
| [Illinois](https://rookiefeed.com/new-trucking-companies/illinois) | 344 | 312 | 48 cents |
| [Ohio](https://rookiefeed.com/new-trucking-companies/ohio) | 287 | 275 | 54 cents |
| [Pennsylvania](https://rookiefeed.com/new-trucking-companies/pennsylvania) | 282 | 267 | 56 cents |

## How reps work the list

- Filter to your states, first-time authorities and 1 to 5 trucks; the 7am email then holds only carriers you'd call.
- Call the same morning, by hand. The carriers that just went active are the ones still choosing.
- Load the CSV into your CRM or dialer; every column has a header and cells are flagged for TCPA.
- Switch on new applications to start the conversation before the authority goes active.

## What one new client is worth

A one-truck owner-operator grosses roughly $150,000 to $240,000 a year, and new-authority factoring rates run about 2.5% to 4% of invoices. That's roughly $3,750 to $9,600 a year in fees from one client who factors most loads.

Rookiefeed is $59 a month for one state once a week, $149 for one state every day, $299 for up to 8 states and $599 for every state, and you can cancel any time. One retained client covers even the Nationwide plan for a year.

## Questions

### How fresh is the list?

Each morning we email every carrier FMCSA granted authority to since the last email, around 7am Central. Grants FMCSA records late are caught by a 7-day re-check and sent once.

### Can my whole team use one subscription?

Today each subscription has one login and one daily email. If your team needs several recipients or separate territories, email hello@greatwork.company and we'll set it up.

### Do you include brokers?

Yes, as a filter. The default is for-hire motor carriers; broker authorities and new applications can be switched on in the dashboard.
